Information Management & Standardization

The IFPS seeks to enable the efficient and harmonized management of electronic information exchange in the global fresh produce value chain.  This includes working with global standards setting bodies such as GS1 to establish standards and best practices to develop industry guidance such as:

  • Fruit & Vegetable GTIN Assignment Guideline
  • Fruit & Vegetable Master Data Attribute Implementation Guide
  • Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Labelling Guideline
  • Implementation Guide for Traceability of Fresh Fruit & Vegetables (Version 2 in development)


About IFPS Chain Info.Mgt. Committee

The Information Management Committee's principle role is to advise the IFPS Board on opportunities in to the management of electronic information exchange in the global fresh produce value chain.
